  • No prob, I knew what you meant. It’s just one of those things that grates on me … kinda like when someone calls me “chief”.

  • Liz says:

@Prescott – I get what yr saying. Totally know a few really smart and hardworking people who have struggled in the job market for sure, i know it ain’t easy! I really just meant that … freelancing not working out isnt going to mean the end of the world, as (even though getting back into it may not be easy) the 9to5 world will still be there if the freelance leap ends up not being what you want. :)

  • Liz, ya know I love you, but please never use the phrase “you can always get a job” ever again. I hear that from a lot of entrepreneurs and it drives me absolutely bat-shit mad. As a long-time job-seeker [turned independent designer] I can testify that no, you can’t simply get a job because you fancy one. It can be seriously tough to find a job even without a recession looming. Maybe I’m being pedantic, but let’s show some love for those who still fighting it out on the job hunt.

PS, I’m coming to Seattle! Let’s hang. I’ll write to you with details.
