PageBreak is a design, business and marketing-themed book club and podcast, started by Liz Andrade and Niki Brown. The main goal of the club is to build a strong online community of designers, developers, freelancer (like ourselves) and to discuss and enjoy books about the stuff we love to do!

We’re starting out with the plan to pick a new book and record a show at the end of each month, so if you have a suggestion let us know about it. Now, you may be wondering …who the heck are you!? well…

Liz

Hi! I’m Liz! I am a small business owner, freelancer… whatever you want to call it. I own and operate a one-woman design studio in Seattle, WA where I have been doing my own thang for nearly 3 years now. I specialize in web design/development for WordPress but I also have a strong background in print and branding, so I do that as well!

When I am not working, you will usually find me at home with my favorite 2 dudes on the planet (my partner, Eric and my cat, Computer.) Family and friends — I love them SO MUCH. I also love eating (I’m a pesco-vegetarian), drinking (craft beers and whisky are my jam!), movies, books (duh!), learning, code and color, I love organizing things; my books, my movies, my hard drive. I love technology, I love the city (Seattle has my heart!), I love drawing, photo taking and blogging. I love public transportation, punctuality, and lazy Sundays.

Niki

Hey I’m Niki. I’m a print designer, web designer, wanabe web developer, obsessive design blogger, part time freelancer, full timer @ Metropolis Creative,  jack of all trades master of nothing.  When I’m not sitting in front of a computer doing ‘work’ you can usually find me biking and running around Boston, tweeting and flickr-ing about my cat, or playing with the latest Apple iGadget.
